Information for presenters
There will be a computer and a data projector available in each meeting room.
Please bring your presentation files on a USB memory stick and use the computer available in the rooms; you should not use your own laptops.
Software installed on the laptops is for standard office set up (Office 2003). Please ensure your presentation will work in this format.
Presenters should meet with their session chair in the scheduled room 10 minutes before the start of the session to upload their presentation. An assistant will be available in the area.
Presentation slots are 30 minutes per presenter (including changing time of presenters). The general rule is to use 20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
Session chairs have been instructed to be very strict with time keeping, ensuring the timely running of the sessions.
Information for Session Chairs
Please be present in the room 10 minutes before the session starts to welcome the presenters in your session. Please check that all three presenters are there and that their presentations have been uploaded and tested on the computer.
You should introduce each presenter and ensure that they present for their allocated time (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion). At the end of the presentation, you should invite questions from the audience and manage the question and answer session.
In case you as the chairperson are also presenting in the session, please ask one of your co-presenters to watch time for your own presentation.
Please keep strictly to the time slots as scheduled in the programme and do not start presentations before the scheduled time. Participants might want to switch from one session to another and will enter the room at the scheduled time. Even in case of a no-show, please stick to the schedule.
The parallel sessions consist of three papers and the time available for each paper is 30 minutes (20 minutes for presentation; 10 minutes for discussion). At the end of the session, please thank all the presenters and contributors.
